Ferris De Joux design was a New Zealand manufacturer of automobiles , based in Auckland .
Company history
The company, headed by Ferris De Joux, existed since 1958. In 1970, the production of automobiles and kit cars began . The brand name was De Joux . Production ended in 1970, 1971 or 1972. A total of around 30 vehicles were built.
vehicles
The GT was on offer . The sports car was based on the Mini . The body was made of fiberglass . It was longer and wider, but significantly flatter than the Mini. Various four-cylinder engines powered the vehicles. In contrast to the original, the water cooler was mounted in front of the engine. The curb weight was 46 kg below that of the Mini.
