Cheetah Cars was a New Zealand manufacturer of automobiles . Another source uses the name Cheetah Kit Cars Limited . The company was based in Auckland .

Company history

The company started producing automobiles in 1989. The brand name was Cheetah . Production ended in 1996. Other sources give the production period as 1987 to 1990 and 1988 to 1990. A total of nine vehicles were built.

The only model was a roadster . It was similar to the Jaguar E-Type . The base was the Holden Kingswood . Even its rear window was used as a windshield . The track width was 6 inches (about 15 cm) wider than the original. Motors Holden and V8 engines from Ford drove to the vehicles.
