Company history
The Auckland company began manufacturing automobiles in 1997 under the direction of Stephen Beattie. The brand name was Beattie . Production ended in 2001.
vehicles
The offer was a racing sports car with street approval. It resembled the Lola Cars and Lotus Cars sports cars of the late 1960s. A lattice frame made of tubes with a 214 cm wheelbase formed the basis. A body made of glass fiber reinforced plastic was mounted on top. The rear suspension came from the Ford Escort . Two different four-cylinder engines were available for the drive . The engine from the Ford Cortina with an overhead camshaft developed 132 kW (180 hp ) from a displacement of 2000 cm³ , the Toyota engine made 147 kW (200 HP) from the same displacement.
