Scorpion Component Cars was a New Zealand manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Brian Heape founded the company in Whangarei in 1984 . He started with the production of automobiles. The brand name was Scorpion . Production ended in 1986. A total of either five or between seven or eight vehicles were built.

Brian Heape made wheelchairs with electric motors in his company Scorpion Manufacturing in the same place .

The only model was created under license from the British Nova Cars . The chassis of the VW Beetle formed the basis . A plastic body was mounted on it. A special feature was the pulpit that could be opened instead of side doors. Purvis Cars from Australia , who also manufactured the model, supplied the windshields .
