Purvis Cars was an Australian manufacturer of automobiles . Another source names the company name Eureka Sports Cars .

Company history

Allan Purvis founded the company in Dandenong in 1974 and began producing automobiles and kit cars . The brand name was Purvis , according to another source, Eureka . Production ended in 1998.

The Purvis Eureka was on offer . It was similar to the Nova from Nova Cars . A chassis from the VW Beetle formed the basis. A closed body made of fiberglass was mounted on top. A special feature was the opening pulpit instead of side doors. About 500 copies were made by 1986 and about 700 by 1989. In 1994 a major overhaul took place so that a more modern chassis was used.

The Free Spirit was announced for the late 1980s . This open mid-engined vehicle was to get an engine from the Ford Laser .

A roadster appeared in 1989 .
