EW Brown & McLelland was an Australian manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The Melbourne company began producing automobiles in 1922. The brand name was Renown . Production ended in the same year. Sales remained low.

The only model was the successor to the Palm from EW Brown Motors . It was similar to the Model T Ford . Many parts were from Ford . The body was lower than the original, the steering column had been modified and the fuel tank moved to the rear. The radiator grille , which resembled those of Rolls-Royce , was striking .

Spark Motors continued production under the Spark brand .
