Alpha Sports Productions was an Australian manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The Adelaide company began manufacturing racing cars in 1963, under the direction of Ray Lewis and Mr. Ivy. Road-legal automobiles were also produced between 1973 and 1975. The brand name was ASP . A total of around 40 road vehicles were built.

The 330 and 340 models were racing cars. The 310 appeared in 1973. Rory Thompson was involved in the design. The base was a tubular frame. A four-cylinder engine from the Toyota Corolla with a displacement of 1166 cm³ propelled the vehicle. Alternatively, an engine from the Ford Cortina was available. The gearbox also came from the Toyota Corolla, the front suspension from the Triumph Herald and the steering from the Morris Minor .
