Finch Restorations is an Australian company in the automotive and automotive manufacturers .
Company history
Ray Finch (born 1941) founded the company in Mount Gambier in 1964 as a repair shop. The restoration of old vehicles was added later . In 1985 he moved to Adelaide Hills . There he met Wayne Hocking, who then also worked for the company. The company moved to Mount Barker in the late 1980s . The production of automobiles has been going on since 1990. The brand name is Finch , possibly also Finch & Hocking .
vehicles
The first model to appear was the replica of the Jaguar SS100 . The chassis of the Jaguar Mark V formed the basis, at least at the beginning. The six-cylinder engine with 3500 cm³ displacement and 125 hp and the gearbox also came from this model. The open body is made of aluminum . A construction period of 12 months and a new price of the equivalent of 150,000 DM have been handed down.
Since 1998 there have also been replicas of the Jaguar C-Type and Jaguar D-Type racing cars . Jaguar six-cylinder engines with a displacement of 3800 cm³ power these vehicles.
