Bullock Cycle & Motor Works

Bullock Cycle & Motor Works was an Australian manufacturer of bicycles , motorcycles and automobiles founded by John Bullock in 1896 .

Company history

The Adelaide company manufactured bicycles from 1896 to the mid-1950s. In 1901 the production of automobiles began under the direction of John Bullock and ended in 1902. The brand name was Bullock . Motorcycles were produced from 1913 to at least 1915. The company ceased operations in the 1950s, around 20 years after the death of founder John Bullock.

Automobiles

In 1901 a light two-seater appeared, in which the seats were arranged side by side. The vehicle was powered by an air-cooled motor with 2.75 hp . The maximum speed was given as 20 km / h.

In 1902 a more powerful vehicle followed. Its water-cooled engine came from De Dion-Bouton and developed 4 hp. The transmission had two gears.
