Syme Engineering & Motor Pty Ltd was an Australian manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The Melbourne company started producing automobiles in 1906. The brand name was Syme . Automobile production ended in the same year. In total, only three or four vehicles were built.

The only model based on a prototype of Mumford Syme engine of 1905. The chassis was made of wood . A water-cooled single - cylinder engine with 6 HP power drove the rear axle via chains. The transmission had three gears. The open body offered space for two people.
