Thomas Craine Carriage Works was an Australian manufacturer of bodywork and automobiles .

Company history

The South Melbourne company originally made car bodies. In 1908 the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Craine . In the same year their production ended. Several vehicles were sold.

Only one model was on offer. The vehicles were powered by a water-cooled two - cylinder Phillips engine with 12 hp . The transmission had three gears. The large solid rubber tires were striking. There was a choice of different bodies, including a double phaeton .
