Merlin Fiberglass Co. was an Australian company and automobile manufacturer .

Company history

The South Melbourne company was active in the fiberglass sector. In 1955 the production of automobiles and kit cars began . The brand name was Merlin . Automobile production ended in the same year. A total of six vehicles and six bodies were sold. Boats emerged in the 1960s .

Automobiles

The only model was a sports car . The tubular chassis had a wheelbase of 2337 mm. The engine came from Holden and received two carburettors to increase performance . The vehicles weighed 764 kg. The steering wheel shift for the three-speed gearbox was unusual .
