George Innes & Co. was an Australian manufacturer of bicycles and automobiles .
Company history
George Innes, who was from Tasmania , founded the company in Sydney . At first he made bicycles. In 1903 the production of automobiles began. The brand name was Innes . Automobile production ended in 1906.
George Innes and Charles Innes founded the Lincoln Motor Co. in Sydney after the First World War , although it is unclear whether it was the same Charles Innes.

One source cites a model with a single cylinder engine and a model with a four cylinder engine , which engines were made in Australia.
Another source gives a connection to an unknown French manufacturer. The engines came from De Dion-Bouton . The 9 HP had a two-cylinder engine with 1770 cm³ displacement and weighed 763 kg. The 19 HP had a four-cylinder engine with 3770 cc and weighed 1155 kg. Both models had a three-speed transmission.
Racing
HR Arnott bought two vehicles and used them successfully on the Dunlop Reliability Trail in 1905 .
