Besst was an Australian car brand.
Company history
The Company May's Motorworks from Adelaide vehicles sold by Chevrolet . Automobiles were also made in the 1920s. The brand name was Besst . Depending on the source, the construction period was 1924, 1925 or from 1926 to 1927. A total of five or six vehicles were built.

The only model was the Super Four . According to one source, a self-made chassis formed the basis. Other sources say the chassis came from Parish & Bingham or link it to Crow-Elkhart . A four-cylinder engine from Lycoming from the USA with 19.6 taxable horsepower and a displacement of 3155 cm³ propelled the vehicles. The transmissions came from Muncie . TJ Richards from Adelaide made the touring car bodies called King of the Road . The purchase price was about double that of a comparable imported vehicle.
