Ready go! was a German pop band from Munich .

history

The band was founded in Munich in summer 2004 under the name "Spunk" by Philipp Leu (born September 24, 1982 in Munich), Julia Viechtl (born November 20, 1986 in Munich), Florian Lüdtke (born May 2, 1983 in Munich ) and a drummer who left the band after a short time and was replaced by Florian Wille (born October 7, 1986 in Munich). Florian Lüdtke soon left the band and was replaced on guitar by Raphael Dwinger (born October 29, 1986 in Munich). The musicians already knew each other from their school days together.

The positive review of the first demo recordings in a Munich city magazine made manager Marc Liebscher , who also looks after Sportfreunde Stiller , aware of the band. Together with him, an EP was created in June 2006 - now under the name “Ready, Go!” - and he brokered a record deal with Columbia Records . Ready go! then took the Uphon studio in Wilzhofen her debut album, The Heart is a collector on. With the first single released from it, they were able to place themselves in the German charts straight away. The title She's in love with me , from the same album, was included in the soundtrack of the video game FIFA 07 in 2006.

In 2008 guitarist Raphael Dwinger left the band to go to drama school. The former guitarist Florian Lüdtke, who successfully completed his three-year acting degree, returned to the tour as a replacement. Lüdtke left the band again in 2009. The current live guitarist is Simon Schankula.

The second album, Plans for the Future , was released on May 14th, 2010. The first single, Wenn du Ich need me , was released digitally on April 30th.

From May 23, 2010 to August 8, 2010, Done, Go! presented at on3 launch pad . The music video for the song Augen zu! .

In June 2010 the band played in the opening act of Pink at the Hessentag in Stadtallendorf , in July 2010 as support from Amy Macdonald .

On May 28, 2011, the band performed in Munich on Königsplatz at the final rally of the demonstration against nuclear power. In October 2011, the band performed at the German-Kurdish cultural festival in Erbil in the Iraqi part of Kurdistan .

On May 8, 2013, the band announced their split on Facebook .
