Fortress Europe is a film by director Želimir Žilnik about the fate of migrants who tried unsuccessfully to immigrate illegally to the European Union . On the one hand, it points to the complex motives that lead to immigration attempts and, on the other hand, gives an impression of the depressing situation of those who have successfully immigrated but remain illegal because they do not comply with EU guidelines.
