Feuchten is a village in the municipality of Bayerbach near Ergoldsbach in the Lower Bavarian district of Landshut . On December 31, 2018, the place had 157 inhabitants.

Geographical location

Feuchten is located immediately southwest of the core town of Bayerbach on the LA 28 district road . The Bayerbacher Bach flowing through the town is a right tributary of the Kleine Laber .

history

Feuchten was first mentioned in a document in 1399. 1492 Feuchten is documented as a Hofmark that has existed for several decades . In 1752, Feuchten belonged to the Kirchberg district court as a closed Hofmark and comprised three eighth yards and eight sixteenth yards. These were the houses and gardens of farm workers and artisans.

Only underground traces of the Hofmarkschloss , which was located in the area in the Middle Ages and early modern times, are left.

In Bavaria from 1867, the first complete statistical record of the localities in Bavaria, Feuchten is recorded as a municipality with 293 inhabitants. Of these, 126 lived in the village of Feuchten. The village of Mausham and the hamlets of Kleinfeuchten , Hochmoos and Runding still belonged to the community . Administratively, the community belonged to the Mallersdorf district office .

Feuchten existed as an independent municipality until 1964. In that year it was incorporated into Bayerbach.

In the western part of the village there is a court chapel, which was built around 1840/50. To secular buildings three small farmhouses from the 17th and 18th centuries have been preserved.
