Barmbek fire and rescue station
The Barmbek fire and rescue station is an office building of the Hamburg fire brigade . It is located in the Barmbek-Süd district on Maurienstraße 7. As of 2012, it was the guard with the most deployments in Germany.
history
The Barmbek fire and rescue station was built in 1990. About 150 civil servants and employees do their 24-hour duty in three different guard departments . The Barmbek guard is one of the training guards of the Hamburg professional fire department . Until 1991, the station was located at Bachstrasse .

Execution of the Barmbek fire and rescue station
In order to fight a critical apartment fire, 16 firefighters are alerted in Hamburg. This results in the vehicle occupation ELW (1-1) + HLF (1-5) + DLK (1-1) + HLF (1-5) = 16 firefighters on the "execution".
Short train
For some missions in Hamburg a so-called "short train" drives, this consists of ELW (1-1) + HLF (1-5) + DLK (1-1) = 10 firefighters.
Ambulance service
There are three ambulances and one emergency doctor vehicle (NEF) permanently manned 24 hours a day, and an ambulance with a double function is manned with the equipment vehicle . Height rescue
history
The Special Task Force Elevation Rescue (SEGH) was founded in 2001 at the fire and rescue station (FuRw Altona) (F12). In the beginning, the SEGH was manned by three colleagues from the fire station in a double function. Since then, the height rescue team has grown steadily and is now an integral part of the Hamburg professional fire brigade. Since 2013 she has moved to FuRw Barmbek F23 with the new AGBF concept, where she is stationed to this day. The height rescue team has been permanently manned 24 hours a day and almost 365 days a year since March 2016. The number of operations at Höhenrettung Hamburg has risen steadily since it was founded.
Procedure and functions
The SEGH task force is manned by five people every day. They are on the rescue 24 hours a day, six days a week. On Saturday, the height rescuers occupied the 23HLF2 in a double function, the vehicle driver is provided by a senior service. During the week there is training almost every day, whereby the readiness for action is always given.
Area of responsibility
Where the turntable ladder can no longer get there, the height rescue starts to work, of course also at lower heights such as z. B. in trees. On many missions, the fire fighters are supported by colleagues from the F32 technology and environmental watch. The telescopic mast vehicle (TMF 53) and the fire brigade's crane are stationed there. With their special equipment it is possible to save people gently and quickly.
