The Roman Catholic subsidiary church Maria Hilf ob Lind in the municipality of Kleblach-Lind used to be the chapel of Unterlind Castle . The church, consecrated in 1347, belongs to the parish of Lind im Drautal in Carinthia in Austria .

Building description

The Gothic , later Baroque-style church has a square floor plan with a straight choir closure, a southern sacristy extension and lancet windows . The roof turret is crowned by an onion hood. You enter the church through a beveled pointed arch portal.

A late Gothic net rib vault from the 15th century rises above the interior . The painted keystones show busts of saints and coats of arms.

Murals

The fresco on the south wall, uncovered in 1955, dates from the second half of the 14th century. It depicts a multi-figure procession of the three kings , two saints' heads and banners in the lunettes . The paintings on the altar wall from around 1400 depict the Visitation , the death of the Virgin , the resurrection , a mercy seat , Anna herself , the donor family and the coat of arms of the Lords of Lind see. The martyrdom of St. Erasmus in a square frame was painted around 1500. The figures of Saints Leonhard , Martin and Georg on the west wall were created in the 15th century.

Facility

The altar from 1720 bears a statue of Our Lady , the top picture shows the Holy Trinity . A protective mantle Madonna belonging to the church and made around 1480 was transferred to the parish church of St. Borromeo transferred in Lind.
