Filip Grgić (born October 25, 1989 ) is a Croatian taekwondo martial artist.

Filip Grgić from Zagreb is part of the Croatian national taekwondo team. Grgić is a national and club team colleague of the Croatian taekwondo martial artist and Olympian Sandra Šarić .

Previous successes

Grgić achieved his first national successes in the young area between 2001 and 2006 when he became Croatian champion several times (2003; up to 48 kg in 2005, 2006; up to 63 kg). From 2006 to 2007 he was also successful in several international youth tournaments with 1st and 2nd places.

In 2007 he became the senior champion in the class up to 62 kg and in the same year he also won the Taekwondo World Championship in Beijing in 2010 and in 2012 he was vice European champion in the class up to 68 kg. In the finals he lost to Daniel Manz (2010) and Servet Tazegül (2012).

Awards

Filip Grgić was elected the most successful athlete of the year by the Croatian Olympic Committee in 2007, alongside Ivano Balić and Blanka Vlašić . His sporting achievements were honored with the "Sports Prize Dražen Petrović 2007".
