Filippo Bernardini

Filippo Bernardini (born November 11, 1884 in Ussita , Macerata Province , Italy , † August 26, 1954 in Rome ) was a Curial Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Church .

Life

Filippo Bernardini received on 12 March 1910, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On March 13, 1933, Pope Pius XI appointed him . the Titular Archbishop of Antioch in Pisidia and ordered him to apostolic delegate in Australia . The Prefect of the Congregation De Propaganda Fide , Pietro Cardinal Fumasoni Biondi , ordained him episcopal on May 21 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were Archbishop of the Curia, Giuseppe Pizzardo , and the Secretary of the Congregation De Propaganda Fide, Archbishop of Curia, Carlo Salotti .

Pius XI. appointed him on October 10, 1935 as Apostolic Nuncio in Switzerland . On January 15, 1953, Bernardini became secretary of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples.
