Bartolomeo Cattaneo
Bartolomeo Cattaneo (born September 26, 1866 in Novi Ligure , Alessandria Province , Italy , † May 14, 1943 ) was a Roman Catholic Archbishop and diplomat of the Holy See .
Life
Bartolomeo Cattaneo received on 2 August 1891, the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On May 16, 1917, Pope Benedict XV appointed him . the Titular Archbishop of Palmyra and ordered him to apostolic delegate in Australia . The Prefect of the Congregation De Propaganda Fide , Domenico Cardinal Serafini OSB , donated him episcopal ordination on June 10 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Auckland , Henry William Cleary , and the Bishop of Tricarico , Giovanni Fiorentini .
In January 1933, Bartolomeo Cattaneo resigned as an Apostolic Delegate in Australia.
