Filippo Strofaldi (born August 14, 1940 in Naples , † August 24, 2013 in Casamicciola Terme ) was Bishop of Ischia .

Life

Filippo Strofaldi was ordained a priest on July 19, 1964 .

Pope . John Paul II appointed him on 25 November 1997 to the Bishop of Ischia and donated him on 6 January 1998 in St. Peter's Basilica , the episcopal ordination ; Co-consecrators were the Archbishops of the Curia Giovanni Battista Re and Jorge María Mejía . As a motto he chose Confitebor tibi Domine . The solemn inauguration ( enthronement ) took place on February 14, 1998 in the Cathedral of Ischia. He was a member of the Episcopal Commission for the Clergy and Consecrated Life of the Italian Bishops' Conference.

Pope Benedict XVI accepted Filippo Strofaldi's resignation on July 7, 2012 for health reasons.
