Filomeno Gonzales Bactol
Filomeno Gonzales Bactol (born November 29, 1939 in Carigara ) is a Filipino clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Naval .
Life
Filomeno Gonzales Bactol was ordained a priest on April 6, 1968 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Palo and titular bishop of Germaniciana on July 29, 1981 . The Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines, Archbishop Bruno Torpigliani , donated his episcopal ordination on October 15 of the same year; Co- consecrators were Cipriano Urgel y Villahermosa , Bishop of Palo, and Fernando Sabogal Viana , Auxiliary Bishop in Dumaguete .
On November 29, 1988, he was appointed Bishop of Naval . On October 13, 2017, Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation.
