The Finnish Summer Ski Jumping Championships 2017 on the normal hill took place on April 2, 2017 in Taivalkoski . The competitions were held on the Taivalvaara (HS 80). The championship was organized by the Finnish Winter Sports Association and the Taivalkosken Kuohu Winter Sports Club . The men's winner Eetu Nousiainen also set a new hill record with 82 meters.

The Finnish Winter Championships took place in Rovaniemi on November 18, 2017. At the same time, the first World Cup weekend of the new season took place in Wisla, Poland. So the World Cup starters Janne Ahonen, Ville Larinto, Andreas Alamommo and Antti Aalto were missing. Jarkko Määttä secured the championship title with 96 m and 102 m and 268.5 points.
