Juho Ojala (born March 17, 1995 in Kuusamo ) is a Finnish ski jumper .

Career

Ojala made his international debut with his start at the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2011 in Liberec . After a 26th place in the individual competition, he won the silver medal with the team. The Finn started in the FIS Cup for the first time in August 2011, but was not able to convince with places beyond the top 30 in Szczyrk . It was not until the beginning of winter 2011/12 that he made it into the points for the first time with an 11th place in Notodden . In the Junior World Championships in 2012 in the Turkish Erzurum he reached seventh place with the team. On August 11, 2012, Ojala made his debut in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup in Kuopio . In his first jumping, however, he remained without a point win. In January 2013 he started at the Junior World Championships in Liberec and jumped to 16th place in the individual, before reaching a weak eighth place with the team. On March 2, 2014, he jumped at the Swedish Falun than 28 for the first time in the points, thus securing the Winter Continental Cup Score Rank 142 and in the overall ranking 174th

On August 13, 2015, Ojala started in Courchevel for the first time to qualify as part of the Ski Jumping Grand Prix . However, after being disqualified, he missed the competition. At the beginning of September he traveled with the team to the Grand Prix jumping in Tchaikovsky and jumped into the points in both competitions, placing him in 84th place in the overall ranking of the 2015 Grand Prix . For the winter of 2015/16, he again received a starting place in the B-squad and thus in the Continental Cup. At the end of January 2016, he narrowly missed the competition in his first World Cup qualification in Sapporo . Four weeks later he was part of the Finnish starting field at the World Cup in Lahti and reached 44th place on his debut in the ski jumping World Cup . A day later he was eighth with the team in Kuopio at the Team World Cup. After he remained without points in the individual World Cups, however, he ended the season in the Continental Cup.
