Finspång is a municipality ( Swedish kommun ) in the Swedish province of Östergötland County and the historical province of Östergötland . The main town of the municipality is Finspång . Other places are Borggård , Butbro , Falla , Grytgöl , Hällestad , Idelfors , Ljusfallshammar , Lotorp , Rejmyre , Skedevi and Otherwiseorp .

The municipality is a hilly landscape with numerous smaller lakes.

economy

Ore deposits in the municipality meant that Finspång and the surrounding villages were already characterized by ironworks in the 16th century. Borggård, Grytgöl, Igelfors, Rejmyre and Finspång are still important industrial locations today.
