The municipality ( Swedish kommun ) Ydre is located in the Swedish province of Östergötland County . Its main town is Österbymo . Other localities are Hestra, Asby, Norra Vi, Rydsnäs, Sund u. a.

geography

The municipality of Ydre is located on the northern edge of the southern Swedish highlands. The municipality is rich in lakes and criss-crossed by numerous smaller watercourses.

economy

There is an unusually high proportion of people employed in agriculture and forestry in the municipality (~ 14%). The wood processing industry also dominates in the secondary sector.
