The Fintlandsmoor is a former nature reserve in the Lower Saxony town of Westerstede and the communities of Edewecht and Bad Zwischenahn in the district of Ammerland .

The nature reserve with the registration number NSG WE 088 was around 140  hectares . It was almost completely part of the FFH area "Fintlandsmoor and Dänikhorster Moor". The area has been under protection since October 24, 1987. The former nature reserve of the same name, which was designated as of October 31, 1970, was incorporated into it. In June 2017 the newly designated nature reserve " Fintlandsmoor and Dänikhorster Moor " opened up. The responsible lower nature conservation authority was the district of Ammerland.

The former nature reserve, consisting of two partial areas, placed a remnant of a largely drained but uncultivated raised bog on the edge of the Ammerländer Geest under protection. The western part of the area is predominantly characterized by moor forest . In addition, a grassland area is included in the protected area. The eastern part also consists of moor forest and grassland areas. Furthermore, rewetted peat bites can also be found here.

The high moor areas are largely without vegetation or overgrown with pipe grass , heather and types of sedges . The Fintlandsmoor offers a habitat for numerous plants and animals that are typical of bog, such as dragonflies and grasshoppers or meadow birds typical of high bogs .

The area is drained via ditches leading to Ollenbäke , which flows into the Große Süderbäke at Apen . The Dänikhorster Moorkanal running in the northeast was partially filled in and provided with dams to reduce the drainage of the area. A hiking trail runs through part of the area.

The area is completely surrounded by agricultural land.
