Fisherman (musician)
Jens Fischer Rodrian (* in Pinneberg ; also Jens Fischer and fisch er) is a German musician , composer , music producer and poet.
Life
Jens Fischer Rodrian moved to the vicinity of Murnau am Staffelsee at the age of ten , where he came to music through his first guitar teacher, Dieter Übler. After dropping out of school, he went to the Munich Guitar Institute at the age of 18 and came to the Grove School of Music in Los Angeles . The planned one year turned into a seven-year stay in the United States. In addition to his first solo CD, he also recorded two albums with his guitar partner Gerd Baumann (Paradoz).
Back in Germany he played a. a. in Konstantin Wecker's band , for whom he also produced the CDs " Vaterland live 01/02 " and " Wut und Zärtlichkeit - live ". He has lived in Berlin with his wife, the jazz singer Alexa Rodrian , and his daughters since 2004 , where he is the musical director of the Blue Man Group . In his suitcase studio he has since produced several solo albums, film scores and songs, etc. a. for Tim Neuhaus , Konstantin Wecker, Alexa Rodrian, Katja Riemann , Paradoz, Max Prosa , the remixes “Doku” & “Louder” for the Boundzound CD “Ear” and the first album with Demba Nabé ( Seeed ) for their band Hermen .
Jens Fischer Rodrian is a lecturer in film music in the “Film” master’s course at the Hamburg Media School . His film music has already been nominated three times for the renowned Festival international du film d'Aubagne; In 2014 he was awarded the “Grand prix de la meilleure création sonore - Courts Métrages” for Silent Lion .
In 2015 he composed the music for the Welthungerhilfe charity audiobook “Mein Mali” by Miriam Knickriem, read a. a. by Katja Riemann , Sebastian Blomberg , Barbara Auer , Lou & Coco Rodrian and Max Tijardovic.
In 1995 he became a member of the Blue Man Group in New York and Boston during his seven-year stay in the USA. a. the Grammy nominated album "Audio" was created. Since 2004 he has been working as musical director, musician and producer for the BLUE MAN GROUP in Berlin.
In 2014 Jens Fischer Rodrian began to write poems and slam poetry texts, which appeared in the book "Sich Kurzfassen - ah". This resulted in the live program "Wahn & Sinn", with which he tours regularly through German-speaking countries. The program album will be released on May 24, 2019.
In addition to the concert readings, he regularly appears with the Blue Man Group, Konstantin Wecker and Alexa Rodrian.
