Wut und Zärtlichkeit (Live) is the live version of the studio album of the same name (2011) by singer and songwriter Konstantin Wecker from 2012.

Origin and content

The title song of the 13th live album bears the breadth of Wecker's songs, ranging from politics to private life. As usual, he criticizes the prevailing conditions and shows compassion as a philanthropist. The album was recorded by Steffen Ritter & Fischer at the Alte Oper Frankfurt and the Philharmonie Essen, among others.

Five songs are settings of literary texts. Two are by Bertolt Brecht ( Oh the unheard of possibilities, From swimming in lakes and rivers ). Other authors are Erich Kästner ( addressing millionaires ), Rainer Maria Rilke ( I live my life in growing rings ) and Lothar Zenetti ( What nobody dares ). The last song Buonanotte Fiorellino is in the original by Francesco De Gregori , the German text is by Wecker, it follows as a hidden track the love song What I like about you .

The first CD closes with his older song “Sage Nein!”, The title of which takes up a poem by Wolfgang Borchert . The second CD also contains an older title called “Was Keine dagen”, which was already published on the CD encores . Reinhard Mey also sings this song on his album Mairegen , with Konstantin Wecker taking over the second voice.

Only the first of the two CDs contains Wecker's speeches.

criticism

“Konstantin Wecker was already a star in the seventies, yes, and in the eighties it was a huge event. Now he is 65 and in the Hegelsaal in Stuttgart takes off his jacket and pulls up his shirt sleeves after the first, arousing song called 'Wut und Zärtlichkeit'. [...] But Konstantin Wecker has always also meant: anger and force, an R that rolls like a blazing perpetual motion machine, a piano that almost bursts with power. [...] What an experience. "

- Michael Werner : Stuttgarter Zeitung , 2012
