Cabuwazi is a Berlin children's circus . It has its domiciles in the districts of Tempelhof , Kreuzberg , Alt-Treptow , Marzahn and Altglienicke and is one of the largest children's and youth circuses in Europe.

In 1992, the circus as was unicycle rider group on a backyard in Kreuzberg founded, operating since 1994 under the name Cabuwazi as socio-educational culture in Berlin. The name is short for C h a otic bu nter Wa Direction zi rkus .

The circus training for Berliners and refugee children has been carried out in the hangars of Tempelhof Airport since the end of 2015 and the integration project is intensified with the complete move from the narrow Postbahnhof in Friedrichshain . Berliners and refugee children come together here in open and closed training groups. There are now three circus tents on the apron at Tempelhof Airport. In the flower elementary school Friedrichshain, the offer of the working groups will be continued and the other cooperative elementary schools go to Tempelhof to practice here.

Awards

The training takes place in circus tents in 32 training groups with 200 young artists and organizes holiday workshops during the summer holidays.
