Fiston Mwanza Mujila
Fiston Mwanza Mujila (born 1981 in Lubumbashi ) is a Congolese French-speaking writer.
Life
In 2009, Fiston Mwanza Mujila received a prize for a literary contribution at the Francophonie Games that took place in Lebanon . His debut novel Tram 83 was on the longlist of the Man Booker International Prize in 2015 and received the Etisalat Prize for Literature and the International Literature Prize of the House of World Cultures in 2017 .
Mwanza Mujila has lived in Graz since 2009 and had a teaching assignment on "African literature" at the University of Graz in the summer term 2015, summer term 2016 and winter term 17/18 . Lukas Kranzelbinder brought him to the SWR New Jazz Meeting in 2018 with the musicians Mona Matbou Riahi , Johannes Schleiermacher , Mario Rom and Dave Smith . He presented his book "Tram 83" in an experimental reading together with the musician and composer Stefan Poetzsch at the Poetenfest Erlangen 2017.
