Peter Rosegger Literature Prize
The Peter Rosegger Literature Prize of the Province of Styria has been awarded by the Province of Styria in memory of Peter Rosegger since 1951 .
The prize was advertised from 1951 to 1971 and could also be awarded to several people. Since 1985, the new Peter Rosegger Literature Prize has been awarded by a jury every two years and since 2001 every three years, without Styria restrictions and without an invitation to tender, and is indivisible.
In 2011, the state of Styria realigned the award: it will be awarded from 2012 for a successful literary debut. The prize is now endowed with € 10,000.
