Flagstaff is a city in the province of Eastern Cape (Eastern Cape) in South Africa . It is the administrative seat of the parish of Ingquza Hill in the OR Tambo district .

history

Flagstaff was built on the site of a trading post founded in 1877. On Sundays a white flag showed that the station was closed. Flagstaff was part of the Transkei until 1994 when the homeland became part of the Eastern Cape Province.

Economy, infrastructure and transport

The place has a rural structure. Flagstaff is located on the R61 , which connects Lusikisiki in the south with Bizana in the northeast.
