Flak School and Replacement Division North

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The anti-aircraft school and Replacement Division North was on 13 April 1945 from the Flakschul Division produced after the German Empire had been divided as a result of the Allied advance into North and Südkessel. The addition of the name North was due to the fact that the headquarters of the Flakschul-Division was in Rerik at that time . The commander of the command authority was again Lieutenant General Karl Veith . All anti-aircraft training facilities and anti-aircraft replacement regiments stationed in the northern basin of the Reich were operationally subordinate to it. The structure from mid-April 1945 included

  • Anti-aircraft artillery school north
  • Flak-Waffentechnische Schule Nord
  • Officer Applicants Division North
  • Flakeratz-Regiment 1 in Bad Saarow in April 1945 disbanded
  • Flaker Regiment 5
  • Commander of the Northern Troop Training Command

The remaining two anti-aircraft replacement regiments 1 and 5 were to be disbanded when the enemy came closer and incorporated into the army. At the end of the war, the divisional headquarters were taken prisoner by the Allies in their quarters near Rerik.
