The 25th Flak Division was a major combat unit of the German Air Force in World War II .
history
The division was set up at the beginning of April 1944 by reclassifying the General of the Flak Artillery South . It was placed under Air Fleet 2 .
The area of responsibility was air defense in northern Italy with a special focus on the regions of Milan and Brescia . In December 1944, the division's headquarters were moved from Milan to Brescia. This moved the division's area to the Brescia- Bergamo - Trento area .
In total, the division had reported over 1,000 aircraft kills.
After the surrender of Army Group C , the division went into British captivity in early May 1945 .
