Florian Hoffmeister

Florian Hoffmeister (* 1970 in Braunschweig ) is a German cameraman and film director . He has been a member of the British Society of Cinematographers (BSC) since 2014 .

Life

After a number of internships and jobs as a lighting technician , camera assistant and camera rental, Hoffmeister began studying directing and cinematography at the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin in 1994 . He also worked as a lighting technician during his studies. a. in Detlev Buck 's men's pension (1996) and Dominik Graf's television film Doktor Knock (1997). In 1998 he was nominated for the German Short Film Award for his short film Voices of the World .

Since 1998 he has worked as a second-unit cameraman for feature films and television films and has also shot video and commercials. Hoffmeister's first film as responsible cameraman was Hendrik Handloegen's award-winning DFFB graduation film Paul Is Dead (2000).
