Florin Crăciun

Florin Cezar Crăciun (born June 27, 1989 in Corabia ) is a Romanian bobsledder .

Crăciun started bobsleigh in 2002. He has been a member of the national team since 2004. In 2009 he started for the first time in the bobsleigh World Cup as Nicolae Istrate's push in the two-man bobsleigh. In 2010 he took part in the Winter Olympics. In Vancouver he reached eleventh place with the two-man bobsleigh and 15th with the four-man bobsleigh, both bobsleighs were controlled by Nicolae Istrate.

At Crăciun's first bobsleigh world championship , the duo Istrate / Crăciun finished eighth in the two-man bobsleigh at Königssee in 2011. A twelfth place followed at the 2012 World Championships in Lake Placid. In 2013 he was Dorin Grigore's pusher , and the two finished 23rd at the World Championships in St. Moritz. In 2014 Crăciun took part in the Olympic Games in Sochi , where he finished 17th in the two-man bobsleigh with Nicolae Istrate and 24th in the four-man bobsleigh driven by Andreas Neagu .

In 2015 Crăciun was again Dorin Grigore's pusher and ended up in 32nd (two) and 24th (four) place at the World Championships in Winterberg. At the World Championships in Innsbruck in 2016 and in 2017 at Königssee, the Romanians achieved only 30th place as the best result, both in the four-man bobsleigh. In 2018 Crăciun took part in his third Olympic Games . In Pyeongchang , he finished 29th with the four-man bobsleigh.
