In the past, the sacred building served as a pilgrimage church , to which people made pilgrimages because of the legend of a pastor named Florinus , who was a pastor in Ramosch in the seventh century and who worked miracles. The name does not go back to St. Florian von Lorch .

The Florinus Church is a late Gothic church building. The tabernacle on the wall on the left side of the choir is remarkable .

In 1499, during the Swabian War, the church was plundered and partially destroyed by the Austrians. The church was renovated several times: in 1522 with the new building, in 1750, 1805 and 1907. In 1926 the unsightly and only makeshift spire, which after the great Ramosch village fire of July 16, 1880, replaced the destroyed tower together with the bells had removed and today's one put on.

The Florinus Church is a cantonal monument . It is open to the public at all times.

Church organization

After years of pastoral fellowship with Tschlin , Ramosch merged with the other parishes in the area of the political parish of Valsot on January 1, 2013 and, as a preaching place of this merged parish in the Evangelical-Reformed regional church of Graubünden, belongs to Colloquium VIII Engiadina Bassa - Val Müstair .
