The bykovo airport ( IATA : BKA, ICAO : UUBB) was at the time of closure of the smallest and oldest operating airport in the greater Moscow . It has been closed since the end of 2010 and the old terminal building was demolished.

Bykowo Airport is located in the Bykowo settlement , about 40 km southeast of Moscow city center, near the A 102 road. The address is: Bykowo, 19 Sowjetskaya ulitsa, Moskovskaya Oblast.

The airport opened in 1933. It served as a national airport until 2009. The airport did not have a modern infrastructure; the maximum capacity was recently 400 passengers per hour. Less than 100,000 passengers were handled annually. Smaller aircraft like Jak-40 , Jak-42 u. The like carried out about 30 regular short and medium-haul flights to the Crimea and, for example, to Kursk , Smolensk , Pskow , Novgorod .
