The airport Andimba Toivo ya Toivo ( English Andimba Toivo ya Toivo Airport ), until August 21, 2019 Ondangwa Airport , is the airport of the city of Ondangwa in Namibia . It is named after Andimba Toivo ya Toivo .

The airport is a former South African military air base, now a civil airport, and is located on the B1 national road around three kilometers north of the city. It has a 2987 meter long main runway and an almost 1400 meter long replacement runway.

Air Namibia offers a scheduled service to Eros Airport .

Expansion from 2013 to 2016

From 2013 to August 2015, Ondangwa Airport was completely renovated and a new passenger terminal was built. The Namibia Airports Company had estimated $ 75.3 million for this . The new terminal was officially opened on August 24, 2015. The final costs totaled 86 million Namibian dollars. The runway was renovated between December 20, 2015 and January 30, 2016 for 208 million Namibian dollars. It has been wider and longer since then and belongs to category 4C.
