The airfield Ferrara Aguscello ( Italian Aeroporto di Ferrara Prati Vecchi d'Aguscello ) is located in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna , about five kilometers southeast of the city center of Ferrara near the village Aguscello.
Infrastructure and use
The airfield is located in the Po Valley between the motorway slip road 8 in the north and the Ferrara – Rimini railway line and Strada Statale 16 Adriatica in the west and south. The airfield can only be reached from these long-distance routes via smaller local roads.
The airfield has a grass runway around 750 meters long and 50 meters wide with the orientation 10/28. To the north of the runway and the parallel grass runway are smaller handling facilities and hangars. The airfield is used for general aviation . The Luftsportverein Gruppo Volo Aguscello has its headquarters on site. Another association restores old aircraft.
In addition to the Ferrara-Aguscello airport, the city also has the Ferrara-San Luca airport, two kilometers south of the city center , which has a grass runway and an asphalt runway . The closest commercial airport is Bologna Airport .
