The Aérodrome de Montauban is an airfield of General Aviation in the French region of Occitania . It is located in the Tarn-et-Garonne department 50 km north of Toulouse . In addition to civil use, it is used by the Aviation légère de l'armée de Terre , the French army aviators , as a maintenance location.
history
The airfield was opened in 1911 and has been operated by the Aéro-Club Montalbanais since 1931 . On the occasion of its 100th anniversary, it was named Morin-Védrines on May 29, 2011 in memory of the pilots Arthur Morin and Jules Védrine.
Military use
The repair shop for aircraft of the French army has been located on the edge of the airfield on 27 hectares since 1946 . The previously designated 11e base de soutien du matériel unit was renamed the 9e bataillon de soutien aéromobile in mid-2011 and has been part of the Montauban-Agen-Castelsarrasin garrison since 2011 .

The civil use by general aviation takes place in particular for air sports.
