Focus on Infinity ( German  Blickpunkt Unendlichkeit ) is an Austrian documentary by the director Joerg Burger from 2014.

Topic, content

The film tries to investigate the “last questions of mankind” in visits to sites of astronomical research and in discussions with scientists (theoretical physicists, cosmologists and quantum physicists). It shows people, machines and locations that are connected to the exploration of the cosmos, such as the world's largest astronomical research project " Alma " and the deepest underground research laboratory Soudan Underground Lab .

The royal astronomer Sir Martin Rees is quoted as saying: "The human brain was not created for the exploration of the cosmos, but for survival in the savannah."
