Forest Heath was a district ( English district ) in the county of Suffolk in England . The administrative seat was Mildenhall ; other significant places were Brandon , Isleham , Lakenheath and Newmarket .
The district was formed on April 1, 1974 and resulted from the merger of the Urban District Newmarket and the Rural District Mildenhall. Due to an ordinance issued in May 2018, Forest Heath was merged with St Edmundsbury, bordering southeast, to form the new West Suffolk District on April 1, 2019 .
