The Formbach is a two and a half kilometers long right and eastern tributary of the Osterbach .

The Formbach rises in the Odenwald at an altitude of about 419  m above sea level. NHN in a mixed forest on the northern slope of the Stutz ( 465  m above sea level ) near the stone table . It first flows in an easterly direction through the forest and then changes to a meadow landscape, where it turns to the northwest. It then reaches the former holiday village of Ostertal , where it turns its course more westwards and finally flows into Reichelsheim- Unter-Easter at an altitude of about 219  m above sea level. NHN in the Osterbach .
