Formula Nippon season 2008

The 2008 Formula Nippon season ( Japanese 2008 年 の フ ォ ー ミ ュ ラ ・ ニ ッ ポ ン , 2008-nen no fōmyura nippon ) was the 22nd season of Formula Nippon . It comprised a total of eight racing weekends. The season started on April 6th in Fuji and ended on September 21st in Sugo . Tsugio Matsuda won the drivers' championship.

In races 1 to 4 and 11 the points were awarded according to the following scheme: 15-12-10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 points. There was also a point for pole position . In races 5, 7 and 9 the points were awarded according to the following scheme: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1. There was also a point for pole position. In races 6, 8 and 10 the points were awarded according to the following scheme: 5-4-3-2-1.
