Forest house in Denklingen

The forester's house in Denklingen , a municipality in the Upper Bavarian district of Landsberg am Lech , was built in 1917. The former forester's house at Bahnhofstrasse 8 is a protected architectural monument .

After secularization , the Denklingen forestry department moved to Kaufbeuren in 1803 and to Dienhausen in 1885 . After it was relocated to Denklingen again, the Kempten agricultural department had the hipped roof building with dwelling houses built. The two-storey building in the Heimat style is surrounded by gardens. A staircase tower with a hipped gable roof is attached to the west facade, which is clad with wooden shingles . A polygonal bay window is attached to the northeast corner. The entrance on the north side is flanked by two stone pillars with a neo-baroque curved gable top. The royal Bavarian coat of arms in the gable reminds of the former function of the house. The office rooms were on the ground floor and the official apartment on the upper floor.

To the west of the house is a wooden bed with a gable roof and wooden walls with windows, which is closed off by a stone garage.

After the forestry office was relocated to Schongau , the building was sold to private customers in 1977 and has served as a residential building ever since.
