The Fortunaschacht was a coal mine owned by the Baron von Burgker coal and ironworks . The shaft was located in the central part of the hard coal deposit of the Döhlen basin on Kleinburgker Flur.

history

The Barons von Burgker Steinkohlen- und Eisenhüttenwerke began digging the shaft in 1835 . The at 261  m above sea level. The shaft set up above sea level reached a depth of 258 meters. At 185 meters, the first 14 meter high jump of the Beckerschacht fault was made. The first seam with a thickness of 4.90 meters was intersected from 195.30 meters . The second seam penetrated at 210 meters was 0.70 meters and the third seam penetrated at 213.60 meters had a thickness of 0.60 meters. At a depth of 243 meters, a cross passage was driven to align the seams that plunged strongly to the south. In the southern pit field, the second seam with a thickness of 1.30 meters was partially worth building and was mined here on an area of 7800 m 2 .

In a northerly direction, the seams are sunk by another 10 meters by 2 more jumps in the northern branch of the Beckerschacht fault. The fault continues through the mine field from southeast to northwest.

For drainage of the mining area A was breakdown to by the Bormannschacht operated Stoll wing of Burgker Weißeritzstollns ascended. The mouth hole is on the right bank of the Weißeritz .

The daily route Oberes Revier in Burgk served as a journey for the team . This saved the installation of a driving art in the shaft. In 1857 a gas generation plant was built for personal use. To promote and dewatering a steam engine from the Freiherrlich of Burgker ironworks was built. 1846 It was a high-pressure machine with a balancer and an output of 20 hp.

On November 27, 1837, a firedamp explosion occurred in which five miners were killed. There was a firedamp explosion with a dead person in 1847.

In 1865, after the extraction of 771,023 t of hard coal, mining was stopped due to the exhaustion of supplies and the shaft was thrown out .

In 1981 the shaft was kept safe by the mountain security .
